We believe that strong scientific research is critical for effective planning of conservation measures. Bats as such are neglected species in India and are one of the least studied family of mammals. For effective conservation action, it is vital to know basic ecology, distribution, habitats and other behavioral aspects. We, at Bat Conservation India, believe there is a dire need to increase more research on bats in India. To this effect, we aim to network among scientists, field biologists, researchers, institutes and organizations and build a common platform on which an effective conservation strategy can be based.
We are collaborating with various organizations and universities to increase the quantum of research on bats and encouraging more students/researchers to take up bats as subjects for their research. As part of this initiative we are offering the following programs.
