Bats play a crucial role in balancing our ecosystem by taking on the role of birds during night, whether it be as pollinators, seed dispersers or as pest controllers. However, there is a negative perception about bats created by various media resulting out of occurrence of zoonotic virus in bats. Their habitats are under threat due to quarrying, mining, fire, etc. Bats are hunted extensively for perceived medicinal properties and for consumption. Some of these practices as affecting the population of bats negatively.

It’s crucial for us to protect their roosting trees, caves, ruins, and foraging areas. Through the scientific data gathered by us over a period of time along with the awareness programs we are able to build trust and drive conservation actions.
